Brian McFadden - Singer

name: Brian Nicholas McFadden
date of birth : 12 April 1980
place of birth : Artane, Dublin, Ireland

Brian and his partner Delta Goodrem have been playing at CelebPoker since summer 2005. Brian has competed at the WSOP as well as other high profile televised tournaments.

McFadden came to fame as a member of the boy band Westlife. He left the band on 9 March 2004 to work on solo projects. (McFadden performed with Westlife as Bryan McFadden but afterwards decided to use the original spelling of his name "Brian".)

McFadden married Kerry Katona in 2002. The couple have two children, Molly and Lilly Sue, but they announced their separation in September 2004.

He released his debut single "Real to Me" in September 2004, and it went to No. 1 on the UK charts. His second single, "Irish Son", was released in November 2004 and went to No. 6 on the UK charts. The third single, "Almost Here" (which is a duet with Australian singer and actress Delta Goodrem), was more successful than "Irish Son". It debuted and peaked at No. 3 on the UK charts and reached No. 1 in Australia. The fourth single from the album, "Demons", only reached #28 in May 2005. However, the album Irish Son only reached the top 30 in the UK charts. The video for "Irish Son" caused some serious controversy, as it showed a Christian Brothers school in Sutton whilst the lyrics implied that McFadden had been physically abused at a CBS school, when he did not actually attend one. The song for the most part criticises the alleged negative hold that the Catholic Church held on Irish society in the past, while McFadden claims in the song that "it was leaving that saved me".

McFadden has collaborated several songs with Australian singer and actress Delta Goodrem in her album Mistaken Identity. Since then, they have begun dating, and are now romantically involved, writing songs together and hoping to become a well-established song-writing team.
He has also dueted with singer LeAnn Rimes with a song called "Everybody's Someone". The song is already available in Leann's new album "whatever we wanna". Brian is currently working on his second studio album for which the release date hasn't been announced yet.
